At Gloucester Freight Services, we are pleased to offer our Import services via both Air and Sea Freight.
Air Freight Import – We will arrange collection either directly from the seller or to the nearest Airport and will handle all the paperwork through to delivery at your own door. Once the goods have been collected, we will pass across all transit details of the shipment and will also provide tracking documentation.
Air Courier Import – We recommend this service for smaller items or for items that you are in great urgency to receive. If you are unsure as to which service you would require, our expert advice will help guide you to find the most cost-effective way. Once the goods have been picked up, we will inform you of the tracking number, so you can track your goods online.
If you require further information about either Air Freight or Air Courier Import, then please contact Jon.
Sea Freight Import – If customers have purchased larger items or the goods do not have to be with them quite as urgently, a popular alternative is importing via Sea Freight. The 2 most common terms would be LCL (less than container load) and FCL (Full Container Load). If a customer chooses LCL, then their goods would be put in a shared container with other items, whereas FCL would mean the customer has sole occupancy of the container.
We can collect the goods from supplier’s warehouses and deliver to wherever you require within the UK. Gloucester Freight will arrange all relevant paperwork and customs clearance once the goods enter the UK. The main documentation would be a Bill of Lading and using the below link to Track-Trace.com, you can track your goods once they have been loaded onto the vessel.
If there is anything else that you require about Importing, then please do not hesitate to contact Jon who will happily go through each step with you.
